The Amira Katana stands at a towering 36 inches tall. Out of the box the immediate thing I noticed was how solid every component is. The base is large, heavy, and very wide and the wooden exterior features a beautiful tiger-eye finish. I think you'll have a hard time finding a hookah in this height class with this sort of stability. The Katana shaft has stainless steel components and threads directly into the base eliminating the need for a base grommet. Inside that wooden exterior is a tried and true shaft made of aluminum and steel to prevent rust and corrosion. The included big-ash tray will catch just about anything you could possible drop on it. Seriously folks, this is one of the most solid bases I've ever gripped my hands on. Outside of the fact that it's so durable, the complimentary tint to these bases is a perfect counterpart to the awesome shaft finishes.
