Embark on a journey back to the roots of hookah smoking with Isfahani. Isfahani unveils the pure taste of natural tombac tobacco leaf, delivering a tobacco smoking experience that is unflavored but still cooled and filtered through a hookah pipe.
How to Smoke Isfahani Tobacco
Unlike modern flavored shisha tobacco options, Isfahani requires different preparation and smoking methods. There are two common ways that Isfahani can be smoked.
Isfahani is unwashed, condensed tobacco leaves that require them to be broken apart and soaked in water until they become soft. After the leaves have been soaked you’ll want to remove any thick stems. It is at this point you have two different options on how to use it.
• Smoking Method One: Once the tobacco leaves have softened and the stems removed, you can break down the pieces of tobacco leaf further into smaller bits to be loaded into a hookah bowl of your choice.
• Smoking Method Two: Instead of breaking down the softened pieces of tobacco and using a bowl, the second option to use is a “leaf wrap” method. To use Isfahani this way, you’ll stack together large pieces of the tobacco leaves and then wrap them around the bowl stem of your hookah, similar to a cigar, only vertical.
With either method of preparation, your hookah charcoal will sit directly on top of the tobacco leaves. If you choose to use a hookah bowl you will not use foil.
Please note the following when smoking Isfahani:
• Because Isfahani is pure, unwashed tobacco it does contain a high level of nicotine. For this reason it is recommended that Isfahani be used by experienced smokers or those who have built up a nicotine tolerance.
• Smoking pure tobacco leaves through a hookah will create a “ghosting effect” of residual flavor. It is recommended that you use a dedicated hookah hose specifically for smoking Isfahani so as to not taint the flavor of your other modern shisha tobaccos later on.
A best practice is to dedicate a hookah and hose only for use with Isfahani.
