Exotic hookahs can increase hookah sales by raising the price of your hookah rental as well as the increased “buzz” these hookahs create inside your lounge and around the local hookah community.  We set us this step by step guide to show you how to increase your profit on each rental by 500%.  It only takes a few minutes and hookah smokers love the extra flavor and exotic presentation.  We used an apple as the bowl to finish the presentation, but any bowl would work.   If you want to see how we did it, we will show you that process next week. Here is how we make the pineapple hookah, and if you follow these simple steps, you can too.

Step 1:  Slice open the pinapple about an inch from the top. You may or may not need to use the top section, so keep it on hand until you have perfected your technique.
Step 2:  Hollow out the central core. Be carefull not to cut through the bottom or your pineapple may spring a leak!  Keep a cup close by so that you can save all the natural pineapple juice.
Step 3 (Optional):  Use the top section to cut a smaller hole that fits snugly to the hookah shaft.   Because each pineapple is different, you may or may not need the top section.  We used it here to extend the height so that our stem fit in the pineapple.  You will also be better able to make a tight seal by fitting shaft to the top section.
Step 4:  Fill the pineapple with juice Refill the pineapple core with the juice you saved from earlier.  You can also take it to the next level by adding other fruit juices for the ultimate tropical experience.
Step 5:  Reassemble the pineapple and insert the hookah shaft. You may want to secure the top and bottom pieces of the pineapple with toothpicks for extra stability and to secure the air tight seal.  We recommend using a smaller hookah that you might not typically use in your lounge.  The Egyptian Furat or Scarab hookah work well, but any hookah with a shorter downstem should do the trick.
Step 6: Enjoy! Try serving this up on a platter with other fruits around the base if you want to take this hookah experience and presentation to the next level.  We didn’t do it for this project, but customers will go bananas when you go all out and they will never blink at the price.

Let us know how it works for you!  Email us some pics of the pineapple hookah in your lounge and we will give you a special treat on your next order!
